Ordering Information

  • Every shade is built completely by hand, by me, using only the finest art glass available from Uroboros, Youghiogheny, Bullseye, and Oceana.
  • Each sheet is hand selected for the perfect textures and color combinations.  I try to use extensive color bleeding where there is more than one color in certain pieces of glass.

Ordering Information

  • Each shade is copper plated and finished in a beautiful green-brown patina.  Again, I must emphasize the many complex hours that go into handcrafting each individual shade.  Extensive time is put into hand selecting all of the materials for each shade that I build.

The easiest way to place an order and avoid confusion is a simple telephone call.

Phone: (714) 472-7704
PST 8A.M-5P.M.

Through direct communication, we can discuss dimensions, color selection, and I will be able to answer any specific questions with regard to your taste and décor.  As well, we can be clear on my schedule, delivery date, and production time. This is important, as production time can vary as a result of shade size and complexity of the design.  All future communication can be done via email.  Of course,if it is easier to email from the beginning, please feel free to do so.

I build exquisite reproduction masterpieces inspired by Tiffany Studios, with strict attention to every detail.  Using the original working methods, my primary goal is to recapture the wonderful artistry of the originals through combining the meticulous handcrafting of the finest glass selection with precision metal work.

I work completely alone so I can control the crafting of every shade from start to finish.  I like to take lots of photos during all of the processes of building your shade, so you are able to watch and be involved as your shade begins to take shape and is finally completed.

I will layout each individually hand cut piece of glass on a light table prior to putting it together which allows you to get a feel for the finished outcome of your shade.  Every  piece of glass is cut from patterns taken from original Tiffany lamps.

Louis Comfort Tiffany’s Studio developed the patterns I use in the early 1900’s.  They vary from simple geometric patterns to the sizable glorious 28-inch floral masterpieces.

The glass is fitted on a fiberglass mold to get the correct shape, and then each piece is wrapped in thin copper foil and placed back on the mold.  After all the pieces are copper foiled, it is all soldered together, with a heavy rim soldered to the bottom and reinforcement wire is added to the bigger shades for more support.

After the shade has been soldered, it gets professionally plated and brought back to the studio for the patina process.  When the shade gets a green-brown patina (for most shades), it must be buffed and polished before being taken to the packer for shipping.

Please understand there is no set price for each shade that I build, as there are many variables involved with satisfying each client’s glass preferences.  I truly enjoy building custom shades for individuals who appreciate Tiffany Studios work, but do not want to pay the incredible prices the authentic pieces command in today’s art world
